Japan, Meiji-Zeit, Ø 41 cm.
A handled wash basin changed into a brazier. On engraved copper base, the lacquered body decorated with diagonal stripes in gold, silver and black hiramaki-e. Brass handles and copper basin. Inscribed wood box: Nashiji [...] makie tsunodarai hibachi (horned basin with nashiji maki-e). Minor damage.
