Allegorical depiction with the personification of the rule of human life. A woman, with crown, cross and mirror with two snakes, seated on an orb with the tablets of the law before her. 1646.
Pen and black ink, grey-blue wash.
Titled, dated and inscribed in upper and lower margins: Regel des Menschlichen Läbens. 1646. In the image:-gsatz. O Mensch fürcht Gott nach seinem gsatz: den Menschen Lieb In nit verlass/Biss Fürsichtig In glaubens sachen: Dass überig wirt Gott woll machen.
