A LARGE PLATE BY TSUJIMURA SHIRO (*1947) AND TACHIBANA DAIKI (1898 - 2005).

Japan, 20th c. 42 × 27 cm.
The Shigaraki style plate is painted and inscribed with a calligraphy by Tachibana Daiki (1898 - 2005) 'Ninnin koko daijô' (Each person's individual personality is unique), signed 'ki'. Plate marked at back 'shi'. Wood box.

Provenance: Old private collection from Southern Germany.
Tachibana Daiki was a Zen monk and main priest of the Tokuzen-ji, a subtemple of the Daitoku-ji (a Rinzai zen temple in Kyôto).
