TWO PORTRAITS OF ZENDO DAISHI AND A DEPICTION OF SENJU-KANNON.
Japan, early Edo period, 25 × 11.5 cm and 26 × 14 cm.
Ink and colours on silk. The patriarch Zendô Daishi (chin. Shan Dao 613-681) as a monk and as appearance in a dream of Hônen Shônin (1133-1212). Senjû-Kannon in gold paint on paper. Brocade mounting. Framed under glass. (3)
