BOULLE PENDULUM CLOCK ON BASE,
Louis XV, France, 18th century and later.
Curved wooden case, with applied brown tortoiseshell and brass designed as tendrils and flower garlands. Probably later bronze mounts designed as tendrils, scrolls and rocailles. White enamel dial. Movement with verge escapement, striking the 3/4-hour on 2 bells. Repetition with Grande-Sonnerie on demand.
