LARGE BOULLE CLOCK WITH PLINTH,

Régence, the dial and movement signed PIERRE ROUSSEAU A PARIS (Pierre Rousseau, maître ca. 1720), Paris ca. 1730.
Brown tortoiseshell, finely inlaid with brass; flowers, leaves, lozenge fillets and decorative frieze. Bronze dial with 12 enamel cartouches for the hours. 2 hands. Movement with verge escapement, striking the 1/2-hour on bell. Opulent mounts and applications. Some supplements on the case and on the plinth.
36x28x142 cm.
