PAIR OF FLINTLOCK PISTOLS,
Italy, mid-17th century. Signed LAZARINO COMINAZZO.
Carved walnut stocks, finely inlaid with iron in a design of tendrils, foliage and blossoms. Twelve-point barrels (L 40 cm), Cal. 12.5 mm, the chamber part accentuated with engraved leaf pattern. Flat lock-plates, the cocks screwed on the inside, decorated with carved foliage. Iron mounts. Long belt swivels, wooden ramrods with iron tips. One stock broken.
