PORCELAIN PENDULUM CLOCK WITH “AETERNITAS”

Berlin, Royal Porcelain Manufactory, late 19th century. Model of the figure from 1775 by Wilhelm Christian Meyer (1723-86), the original model of the clock case by Stutz 1776/77.
The hollow case is a variation of the original model, with applied blossoms and resting on four scrolled volute feet. The top decorated with a veiled female figure with a snake in her hand, accompanied by putti. Applied blossoms on a curved base. Underglaze blue scepter mark with incised cancellation mark on both parts.
H 62 cm (9 cm).
