SNUFF BOTTLE IN THE SHAPE OF A MANDOLIN AND A HORN-SHAPED FLACON

London, 19th century.
1. Silver engraved with depictions of human figures in a landscape with putti, Hermes as as a baby, a harbor and a city. Taut strings. Lid opening up into a peg closure. With old auction label, dated 5 June 1981.
2. Opulently chased silver with flower- and leaf motifs. Hinged lid punched inside and monogrammed N B at the top. Inside with glass stopper incised with 13. Old label from Sotheby's, 24 November 1992, Lot No. 221.
