PERFUME BOTTLE WITH A HORN-SHAPED SCENT BOX
England, 1873. Marked. Maker's mark TJ (Thomas Johnson).
Silver gilt, with embossed and punched decoration in the form of leaf scrolls and birds. The narrow end with a twist closure, the cap set with malachite. The other end with a hinged lid, opening onto a flower-shaped lattice as a scent box. The lid with owner's inscription W. Thornhill 144 New Bond St(ree)t.
