“You don't have to understand art, you just have to engage with it”. Franz West

In his artistic works, Franz West explores the various possibilities of sculptural objects and searches for a convincing rationale for their aesthetic design. In doing so, the question of the logic behind the design plays a central role. He uses a very sensuous approach that confers on the objects an almost magical and mysterious allure. This radicalised sensuousness creates a fascinating and confusing world in which the supposedly clear connections are embedded in a complex and simultaneous structure of diverse associations. The viewer is challenged to immerse themselves in this world and explore the complexity of the references.
