Napoléon III in the Transition style, Paris ca. 1865, signed P. Sormani - 10 rue Charlot Paris (Paul Sormani, 1817-1877).
Tulipwood and purpleheart in veneer and inlaid in reserves. Rectangular body on a wavy-cut frame with curved legs. Front with latticed double doors over a drawer and lamella closure. Gilt and chased bronze mounts. Shaped "Brèche d'Alep" marble top. Interior with two shelves. 2 keys.
77 × 35 × 156 cm.
Good restored condition. Marble with minimal chips to the edges. Gilding somewhat rubbed.
