PORTICO CLOCK WITH DATE
Louis XVI, Paris ca. 1780, the dial signed Mailand à Paris (Henri Mailand, maître in Paris 1764-1789).
White marble and gilt bronze. Portico-shaped case with straight architrave, supported by four conical round columns and two herms on cylindrical pilasters. Vase top. White enamel dial with black Roman numerals for hours and Arabic numerals for minutes. Red date display. Sun pendulum. Movement with anchor escapement and half-hour strike on bell. 1 key.
35.5 × 15 × 54 cm.
