STANDING APHRODITE
Hellenistic, Taranto, 3rd century B.C.
Terracotta polychrome painted and with white engobe. Figure of Aphrodite, loosely leaning against a stele, in slight contrapposto and surrounded by an aureole. On a later wooden plinth. The back with an inscribed label: Expertise by Dr. Cahn.
H without plinth 32 cm.
Highly restored. Supplements. Right arm missing.
