TROIS-CORPS
Baroque, Berne ca. 1745, probably by Mathäus Funk (1697-1783).
Walnut and burlwood inlaid with geometric motifs and reserves, and in veneer. Rectangular body on flattened feet. Slightly retracted upper section with nine drawers arranged around a central door, opening up into five drawers and two compartments. Inclined writing surface over three sans-traverse drawers. The writing surface opens up into fourteen drawers and one compartment. Bronze mounts. 3 keys. Signs of use, one corner chipped. One door warped.
