SET OF FOUR ARMCHAIRS
Italy, probably Florence, late 16th/early 17th century.
Walnut. Rectangular padded seat. Rectangular backrest, the shoulder plank lined with vevet, Renaissance gold-thread embroidery and opulent gold fringes. Each armchair with a cushion lined with red, patterned velvet decorated with gold-colored cords and tassels. Notched mark ER with cross.
65 × 56 × 118 cm.
In part, highly restored.
