TROIS-CORPS WITH THE FOUR SEASONS
Baroque, Austria, second half of the 18th century.
Walnut, plum, maple, cherry, and other in part hot-sand-shaded woods inlaid in rectangular reserves and geometric fillets. The upper section with a bow-shaped cornice, the center with a niche over two drawers, the sides with two doors featuring four round medallions with Allegories of the Four Seasons. The sides of the upper section with a rectangular, three-dimensional cube-patterned field in geometric fillets. The center section with a cylinder closure, opening up into a compartment and six convex drawers and a secret compartment. Pull-out writing surface. The lower section is a commode with four drawers, the lower drawer is a sham drawer. The sides are decorated with a rectangular reserve with a hexagonal cube-patterned field. Brass mounts. 5 keys.
