Sèvres, 18th century, the paintwork Paris 19th century.
The well, with the monogram DB, the rim with flower festoons and vase motifs. LL monogram mark in blue. Incised mark.

The decoration after a service of "petits vases et guirlandes" for Jeanne Bécu Gomard de Vaubernier, Comtesse Du Barry (1743-1793), Louis XV's last mistress until his death on 10 May 1774. The 322-item service was commissioned for use at Château Louveciennes by or for her in 1769.
