A SENTOKU TSUBA IN THE SHAPE OF DARUMA.

Japan, 19th. c. Length 8.5 cm.
Details in shakudô and gold. Sword guard of Bodhisharma smoking a pipe. Parts of the inscription 'Watch out for fire!' is visible under the wide robe. Signed Yasuchika, by a member of the Tsuchiya Yasuchika line.
