A FIVE-CASE LACQUER INRO DECORATED WITH DEER.

Japan, 19th c. Height 9 cm.
On roiro (black lacquer) ground decorated with deer amongst maple leafs in gold hira- and takamakie as well as agoai (mother-of-pearl) inlays and togidashi; signed Koma Sadahide. Ryusa manju netsuke, the metal half pierced with a pheonix and the bone half carved with clouds. Metal ojime.
