A LACQUER INRO DECORATED WITH THREE CRAYFISH IN TAKAMAKIE.

Japan, 19th c. Height 7.8 cm.
Four case, on scarce nashiji ground with red character for longevity (kotobuki), signed Kajikawa saku with red pot seal. Small gold lacquer ojime.

Provenance: Old private collection. By repute purchased at Sotheby Parke Bernet, March 1979, lot 154. Ex collection of Mr & Mrs G. Cohen, published in "In search of Netsuke & Inro", No. 324.
