A RARE PAINTED AND OILED LEATHER DISH.
Tibet, 13th-15th c. Diameter 21 cm.
The Yin-yang symbol in a lotus petal design closely relates to motifs of Yuan and early Ming dynasty. At back inscribed: 'This object was offered to the palace of Lhundup Tagtse by the steward'. Minor signs of age. Storage box.
Provenance: Australian private collection, British private collection, then international art market.

蓮花花瓣中的陰陽圖案接近元代明代初期的風格圖案,在背側附銘文:“此器由管家提供給Lhundup Tagtse宮”。局部老化痕跡,附儲藏盒。
