FOUR IVORY PLAQUES WITH BIBLICAL DEPICTIONS

Probably France, in the Gothic style, 19th century.
Ivory carved in relief. Rectangular plaques, probably fragments of a casket. New Testament depictions from the Life of Christ. Top left: the Betrayal of Jesus by Judas, flanked by Roman soldiers; top right: a simultaneous scene, Jesus on the Cross on the left and the Resurrection of Christ on the right; bottom left and right: Mary among the Disciples. Mounted on a plaque covered with green velvet.
Each without the frame: 11.5 × 4.5 cm.
