PROVENANCE PRIVATE COLLECTION LAKE GENEVA
LOT COMPRISING FIVE FAMILLE-VERTE PLATTERS WITH “BUTTERFLY” DECORATION

Meissen, ca. 1738-50.
Each item is painted in the East Asian style with a butterfly in the well, sitting on a flowering branch and scattered flowering branches on the lip. Comprising:
two round platters (Ø 33.5 cm and 38.5 cm, press numbers)
two oval platters with rocaille handles on the sides (Ø 29 cm and 38.5 cm, potter's mark and press number)
one oval platter with handles and a "Sulkowski" relief border (32 cm, potter's mark).
Underglaze blue sword marks.

Private collection of Meissen porcelain, Suisse romande.
