ASTROLOGICAL TABLE CLOCK "À CERCLES TOURNANTS" WITH HELIOCENTRIC ARMILLARY SPHERE

England, ca. 1960, signed Devon Clocks England and numbered 1355/1500.
Silver-plated and gilt metal. The open watch case rests on a trumpet base, featuring a small balance wheel and two horizontal chapter rings "à cercles tournants". On top is an armillary sphere with the planets Mercury, Venus, Earth (with moon), Mars, Jupiter and Saturn, which revolve around the sun. Outer circles indicate the signs of the zodiac and the months. On a wooden base and with a glass cloche.
