CUP AND SAUCER
Berlin, Royal Porcelain Manufactory, ca. 1800.
Conical cup with a twisted snake-shaped handle painted in light pink with gold decoration, on a recessed foot. Parcel-gilt and with circumferential Allegories of the Four Seasons floating on clouds in the form of genii in the style of Antiquity, between etched gold borders and on a lapis-colored background. The saucer with a circumferential strip of land, featuring attributes of the Four Seasons, the rim with an etched gold border. Underglaze blue scepter mark and _ in blue.
