VASE-SHAPED CLOCK

Empire and later, Berne, 19th century. Dial signed Froidevaux à Berne (Louis-Martin Froidevaux 1766-1813).
Bronze in part burnished and in part gilt. Vase-shaped case on a trumpet-shaped foot and a stepped rectangular plinth with flattened feet. Applied decoration designed as foliage, laurel wreath, cornucopias, and two heads in profile. White enamel dial. Movement, striking the 3/4-hour on two bells.
H 36 cm.

- Dial with minor chips around the winding hole, and with fine cracks.
- Gilding rubbed.
