Time Exposed, 1991. Portfolio of 51 original offset prints after photographs.
Kyoto, Kyoto Shoin Co., 1991. Prints 24 × 31 cm and 5 × 38 cm (1); sheet 35 × 46.4 cm; box 35.5 × 46.5 cm. Individually mounted on cardboard with blind-stamped title, date and numbering. (5) leaves, plates. Loosely laid in original aluminium case with printed original cardboard slipcase. - Fully signed by the artist on title. One of 500 copies.

- Acquired at the above auction, since then Swiss private collection.

The portfolio includes 50 seascapes from the Caribbean, Pacific, Atlantic, Japan, Mediterranean, Tasmania, Norway, North Sea, Ireland, Tyrrhenian, Adriatic, Ionian Sea, Black Sea, Marmara Sea to the English Channel as well as a panoramic photograph of the IBM Courtyard building in Tokyo. Taken between 1980 and 1991, the images present a hypnotic meditation on time through repetition and permanence. The present work is also the exhibition catalogue for the exhibition at Carnegie International, The Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, 19.10.1991-23.2.1992 and IBM Courtyard, Tokyo, 30.10.1991-29.2.1992.

The half-title slightly soiled, otherwise a fresh copy. The case minimally scratched. The slipcase rubbed at the edges, somewhat stained and soiled.
