Ernst Curtius, et al. (ed.).
Die Funde von Olympia. Ausgabe in einem Bande. Hrsg. von dem Direktorium der Ausgrabungen zu Olympia. Portfolio with 35 original photographs and 11 lithographs on 40 plates.
Mostly colotypes by Römmler & Jonas. Various formats (approx. 20 × 16 cm to 20.5 x 97 cm). Fix mounted on printed cardboard supports. Berlin, Wasmuth, 1882. Portfolio 54 x 39 cm. Text booklet with 38 pages. Original half-cloth portfolio with title on cover.
Based on the large work "Ausgrabungen in Olympia" (1877-81 in 5 volumes). The present work is a new compilation of the most important plates in one volume after the excavations were completed, supplemented with 11 new plates. Particularly impressive is the photographic panorama of Olympia after the excavations were completed in March 1881 — the first photographically reproduced image of the finished excavation site, consisting of 3 large-format plates (format: 20.5 x 97 cm, sheet dimension 37.5 x 132.5 cm).
- The prints partly with light scratches, occasional faint oxidation mirroring in the edges. The mounts lightly browned. Hinges of the portfolio slightly cracking, somewhat rubbed and bumped, browned and lightly soiled. Overall in good condition.
