ARCHITECT'S DESK / "TABLE À LA TRONCHIN"

Louis XVI, Paris. End of the 18th century.
Mahogany. Rectangular top on a straight frame, edged with brass, on pyramid legs in sabots, on castors. The top can be folded twice to form a level or inclined working surface of different heights. Front with 6 drawers, 3 of which are sham drawers, the other 3 are combined into 1 drawer. The sides with 2 drawers, one of which is a sham drawer. The lateral drawers have a two-part hinged cover, the inside fitted with 2 compartments, originally with small drawers.
100 x 69 x 77 cm.

- Repaired cracks. Inner leaf with cracks
- Supporting ledge for leaf, missing
