PAINTED PENDULUM CLOCK ON BASE, WITH ALARM, IN VITRINE CABINET,
Neuchâtel ca. 1830/40. Probably by AIMÉ BILLON.
Curved wooden case, painted black and decorated with gold-colored flowers and leaves. Gilt bronze ornaments, designed as curved leaves. White enamel dial in a solid bezel behind a door, over an oval window for the pendulum. Movement with anchor escapement, and Grande- and Petite Sonnerie on 2 gongs, can be switched between Grande Sonnerie, Petite Sonnerie, or Silence. Repetition on demand. Alarm on bell. 1 key. In a vitrine cabinet, glazed on all sides.
