HORN CLOCK "PENDULE D'ALCOVE",
Louis XV, Paris, ca. 1740/50. The dial and movement signed JULIEN LEROY À PARIS.
Curved case, applied with green horn and inlaid with brass. Opulent, gilt bronze mounts, designed as rocailles, scrolled leaves and a dragon, the top featuring a Chinese man. Bronze dial with enamel cartouches. Movement with lever escapement, originally with striking mechanism (removed).
