PAINTED CLOCK ON BASE, with later music box,

Louis XVI, Neuchâtel, ca. 1780.
Curved case, decorated with painted flowers and a hunting scene on a turquoise ground. Chased brass mounts designed as leaves, bows, ram heads, and a medallion. Enamel dial on "en cuvette". Movement with verge escapement, striking the 1/2-hour on 2 bells. At 6- and at 12-o'clock, a music box with a 45-tone comb on a drum plays. 2 keys.
