KNIFE WITH LION-SHAPED HANDLE

French, 16th century.
Octagonal engraved and carved iron handle, inlaid with mother-of-pearl fillets. Fully sculpted handle end in the shape of a seated lion on a capital. Acanthus leaf-shaped handle bolster. Blade with center tip, the front part with a spine.
L 16.5 cm.
