TWO SIMILAR TABLE KNIVES OR KNIVES FROM A SET OF DAGGERS

Italian, 2nd half of the 16th century.
Baluster-shaped iron handle, cut and engraved with acanthus leaves and gilt. Inlaid with small, riveted ivory scales. The handle end shaped with multiple balusters. The root of the blade engraved with scrolled leaves and with remnants of gilding. Blade with center tip.
L 27 and 28.7 cm.

Gilding rubbed, blades with traces of corrosion. Fine crack on one ivory scale.
