The Spanish Forger -

Courtly scene with the accoutrements of a knight. Illuminated miniature in colour and heightened in gold on vellum in the style of the 15th century.
Probably France, circa 1900. Image size 22 × 18 cm; Leaf size 23.5 × 19.5 cm. Giltwood frame from the 18th century (37 × 33 cm; rubbed and gilding flaking).

Some cracking, some light paint loss (more so upper centre), small losses in vellum lower left (outside the image) slightly wrinkled.
