Anonymous French illuminator, 15th century.
Depiction of All Saints. Latin text below with 1 illuminated initial G. Surrounded by a rich floral border. Single leaf from a Book of Hours. Written on both sides. Gouache, pen and gold on vellum.
Bourges or Paris, circa 1490-1500. Image 17 × 12 cm; Leaf size 19 × 13 cm. Recto 2-line and verso 15-line Gothic Textura. Gold frame with velvet passepartouts recto and verso, glazed both sides (33.5 × 28 cm; verso label of the frame).
Minimal staining in the margins, upper margin slightly wrinkled (barely noticeable).
