PAINTED CUPBOARD,

Toggenburg, from the circle of Johannes Bartholomäus Thäler, inscribed JGRF. ANNA ELISABETH NÄF 1830.
Pinewood, polychrome painted on a brown/red ground. The front with double-paneled doors, the panels painted with a landscape featuring a view of a village and a couple with a dog. Reserve with dedication: "Schönheit und Reichthum ist nicht so viel Werth als ein gutes Gemüth". The door framed by flowers, goblet and leaf frieze, below a view of a village. The sides painted with 3 reserves. Brass escutcheon. Paintwork has some damage to the lacquer. 1 key.
