Gutachten: Ellen Bernt, 22.2.1988. Provenienz: Schweizer Privatsammlung. Fred G. Meijer vom RKD, Den Haag, bestätigt die Eigenhändigkeit anhand einer Fotografie, wofür wir ihm danken. Er bezeichnet das hier angebotene Gemälde als ein in Komposition und Motivik charakteristisches Werk Lootens und vermutet, dass die Figuren möglicherweise von Johannes Lingelbach (1622-1674) ausgeführt wurden. Tatsächlich sind mehrere Beispiele einer solchen Zusammenarbeit Lingelbachs und Lootens bekannt.
