Famous series of 23 views of Venice. - Succi, no. 1- 23 I (of IV, before the numbers lower left). Including: 1. Frontispiece with portrait of the artist in an elaborate frame, engraved by Carlo ORSOLINI (1703-1781) after a drawing by Angelo TREVISANI (1669-1753); 2. Dedication sheet with a view of the Doge's Palace and Piazetta di San Marco as well as a dedication to Marc-Antoine de Beauveau-Caro; 3. 21 Views of Venice; 4. Including: a further rare view by Michele MARIESCHI: Phantastische Palastarchitektur. 1736/52. Etching, 30.9 x 46.8 cm (Sheet size: 50.5 x 73 cm). 1736/52. Succi II/II. - Vibrant, high-contrast and clear impressions from the first edition on full, untrimmed sheets. These are attached in the centre of the left margin with a simple thread binding. The edges of the sheets partly with minor defects such as tiny to small losses, creases in the corners, somewhat dusty or soiled due to wear. The wide margins mostly with insignificant traces of wear and age as well as scattered stains. Overall in very good condition, some sheets in almost untouched condition. - Very rare as a complete set in this state of printing and preservation.
