OINOCHOE
Greek-Apulian, 4th century BC.
Red-figured ceramics with black and white heightening. Central depiction of a seated lady flanked by a small angel of victory and servants holding a pine wand and a laurel wreath. The reverse with rich palmette decoration. Circumferential wave decoration. Handle with central ridge and leaf decoration. Wide trilobed spout.
H 34 cm.
Partly with incrustations. Paint chips. Scratches and rubbing. Small chip to the edge at the base.
