VERDURE (TAPESTRY WITH A LANDSCAPE SUBJECT) "FORÊT SAUVAGE À GRANDES FEUILLES"
Probably Enghien or Oudenaarde, 16th century.
The tapestry on offer features depictions of large cabbage leaves and a rich vegetation with birds, a stag, two leopards, an animal fight and a landscape with a village, a church, ruins and a river with a fishing boat in the background. Border trimmed and later.
