The Virgin Mary with a pear. 1511.
Copper engraving on laid paper with watermark: anchor in circle(Meder 171).
Dated in the plate on upper margin in the centre, monogrammed in the plate lower left: AD 1511.
15.6 x 10.6 cm. Framed.

- Collection of R. Schlotz (1834-1912), Budapest, Lugt 2241.

- Private collection, Switzerland.

Bartsch 41; Schoch/Mende/Scherbaum 63; Meder 33 a (of c, with watermark: anchor in circle, as sought by Meder in an early impression). - Vibrant, lively, high-contrast and finely drawn early impression. Trimmed predominantly along the plate mark, in a few places just inside the plate mark. Fixed in an acid-free passepartout by the corners. Barely discernible stains, traces of wear and age. In very good condition. - Rarely found in this fine condition.
