A family of beggars at the door of a house. 1648.
Etching on wove paper.
Signed in the plate on lower margin to the right: Rembrandt f. 1648.
16.5 x 13 cm.

Bartsch 176; Nowell-Usticke 176 probably VI (of VI); Hinterding/Rutgers (New Hollstein) 243 III (of V). - Clear and even impression on wove paper, trimmed mostly to the plate edge or in parts with fine margin around the plate edge. Somewhat foxed in parts and with slight traces of handling. Verso with a few remains of old mounts and some annotations in pencil. Overall in good condition.
