A MAIOLICA APOTHECARY JAR "A FIORI E FOGLIE”
Venice, second half of 16th century. Workshop of Domenego da Venezia.
Both sides with the portrait of a man in white ruff and verso with a lady, each in a yellow framed medallion with blue double ring border, on a densely painted ground with floral and acanthus leaf tendrils in green, blue and ochre.
H 24 cm.
Base pierced.
