TORTOISESHELL LIDDED BOX WITH GOLD MOUNTS
Possibly France or Russia, end of the 18th century. Unmarked.
Round box, made of light-colored tortoiseshell. Translucent, with a striped pattern of gold bands all-around. The golden frame of the lid is finely molded and relief-decorated with a cameo on lilac porcelain.
Ø 5.5 cm. Gold 750.
