TEAPOT WITH CHINOISERIE DECORATION
Meissen, ca. 1723-24.
Baluster shape with curved spout and gold-accentuated mascaron. The base of the handle decorated with leaves. Painted with polychrome chinoserie scenes in the style of J.G. Höroldt on both sides, and decorated with flying insects and flowers. Underglaze blue sword mark and K.P.M. (Royal Porcelain Manufactory). Gilder's Nos. 92.
