A FAIENCE WIDE-RIMMED PLATE
Winterthur, c. 1680.
Glazed light grey and painted with high-fired colours, the well with a Bacchus figure with grapes and wine leaves in his hair and a bowl in one hand within a hilly landscape, the rim with grapes, a pear, a pomegranate and a radish.
D 34 cm.
Crack with old repair.
