SIDE-SWORD
German, Munich, last quarter of the 16th century.
Iron hilt, large egg-shaped pommel. Long quillon of rounded iron, with spherical ends. Leather-lined, conical grip with oval section. Double-edged blade with diamond section, towards the grip featuring the marks "S" or "Z" and a crown (Wolfgang Stäntler, Munich), the blade edges running straight into the tip.
Blade L 92.4 cm. L 113 cm. C: 1.
