PAIR OF FLINTLOCK PISTOLS,

Germany, ca. 1790. Signed ANTON BAUMAN IN MÜNCHEN.
Walnut stocks decorated with flowers, 1 repaired. Octagonal barrels (L 29 cm), burnished, Cal 12 mm, rifled. Signed in silver IN MÜNCHEN, mark AB struck in silver. Sighted barrel. Flat lock-plates and cocks. The plates signed ANTON BAUMAN. Smoothly polished iron mounts. The stocks with Inventory Nos. 33 and 44, and owner's sign "Zwei Fische" ("Two Fish"). Ramrods with horn tips.
L 42.5 cm.

Anton Baumann is documented as a gunmaker in Munich until ca. 1812 . He was also the Court Gunmaker of the Electoral Prince Karl Theodor (1777-1799).
